The man was driving a 2025 Toyota Camry northbound on Deer Park Avenue when the vehicle veered off the roadway near Parkdale Drive and struck a utility pole at about 9:40 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 19, police said. He was taken to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for treatment of serious injuries, according to detectives. The Toyota was impounded for a safety check, police said. CT Worker Pinned Under Truck After Crash; Police Investigating Cause A pedestrian was seriously hurt after a crash on Hartford Turnpike near 862 in Vernon, police said. Officers arrived to find the person lying in the road under their work truck. Vernon Police, Vernon EMS, and the Vernon Fire Department gave aid. The victim was taken to Hartford Hospital. I-91 Lanes Closed After Truck Strikes, Damages Overpass Connecticut DOT workers are cleaning up the mess and inspecting the damage after a truck with a crane mounted to it crashed into an overpass on I-91 in Hartford County.  The truck struck the Route 190 bridge overpass in Enfield around 9:15 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 10, forcing workers to close three out of the four lanes, Connecticut State Police said. New Haven County resident Carlos Davila, age 30, of Ansonia, was killed around 6 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, in the area of 14 Mill Plain Road in Danbury.
