'Lost Everything': 1-Year-Old Dies In NY House Fire After Mom, Siblings Escape A 1-year-old boy pulled from a burning home in upstate New York has died from his injuries. The Broome County fire broke out around 12:50 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at a residence on Broad Street in Chenango, according to New York State Police. A 26-year-old woman escaped the blaze with two of her children, ages 5 and 2, but heavy smoke kept her from reaching her youngest child, police said. The blaze broke out around 10:09 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, at a home on Prospect Street in Perth Amboy, Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone and Perth Amboy Police Chief Larry Cattano said. CT Firefighters Rescue Dog From Burning Home Firefighters in Hartford County rescued a dog from a burning home on Tuesday, Jan. 14, saving the pooch before flames consumed the property. Crews were called to a home at 69 Fleming Road in Manchester just before 2:30 p.m. They arrived to find smoke billowing from the roofline. The family escaped mostly unharmed.
