A stolen BMW led police on a chase through Stamford on Wednesday afternoon, June 25, causing a violent multi-vehicle crash that sent four people to the hospital, including a Connecticut state trooper, officials said.
The pursuit began in New York after the vehicle was connected to the robbery of an off-duty NYPD officer, Stamford police said. Preston Ordone, just 2 years old, passed away after a single-car crash on Thursday, April 24, in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana, the fundraiser says.

The incident happened in Illinois around 3:20 p.m. local time Monday, April 28, in Chatham, just south of Springfield, about 95 miles north of St. Louis, Missouri, and 200 miles south of Chicago.

Flu activity remains high and is increasing across many parts of the country.
For the week ending Saturday, Jan. 18, 25 percent of tests returned positive for flu, up from 19 percent the previous week, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
More than five percent of emergency-room visits were flu-related, with notable increases among infants, older children, and teens, nearing pre-holiday surge levels.
