ICE Detains Georgetown Doctoral Student For Alleged Hamas Ties: Feds Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has detained Badar Khan Suri, a Georgetown University academic, citing alleged ties to Hamas and the promotion of antisemitic propaganda, federal officials confirmed. The news was first reported by Politico and later confirmed by Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary at the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Suri's lawyer filed a suit fighting for his release, obtained by Politico.
