CT Man Killed After Crashing Into Utility Pole
A 60-year-old Connecticut man died in a single-car crash after his vehicle veered off the road and slammed into a utility pole, authorities said. The Manchester resident, whose name has not been released, crashed around 10:30 a.m. near 138 W. Center St. in Manchester. First responders rushed him to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Manchester police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

A 69-year-old Connecticut woman was killed earlier this week when her car went off of a road and crashed into a tree, police said. Jen Webster, of Storrs, lost control of her Honda Odyssey on Chaffiteeville Road in Mansfield a little after 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 14, and hit a tree, Connecticut State Police said. A Connecticut middle school bus was involved in a crash this week with 15 students on board, authorities said.
