A stolen BMW led police on a chase through Stamford on Wednesday afternoon, June 25, causing a violent multi-vehicle crash that sent four people to the hospital, including a Connecticut state trooper, officials said.
The pursuit began in New York after the vehicle was connected to the robbery of an off-duty NYPD officer, Stamford police said. Troopers, city officers, and a Westchester County Aviation Unit helicopter followed the SUV across the state line. Max Dryerman, of Woodcliff Lake, filed the federal lawsuit Monday, June 23, in Camden, blaming Tesla's “defective” safety features for the deaths of his father David, his mother Michele, both 54, and his 17-year-old sister Brooke.

New footage shows the same mangled Honda Civic that was slammed by an NJ Transit train in Bergen County casually cruising down the Garden State Parkway — without its bumper, trunk lid, or license plate.
The Civic, which was struck at the Fair Lawn Avenue crossing on Thursday, May 22, was spotted by Ahmed Kasab near the southbound lanes near the Bloomfield toll plaza.
Kasab, a mechanic in Paramus, was stunned.
