A fight that started over a political sign led to a street brawl involving a bicycle, a smashed car window, and even a pair of pliers, police said. Just after 9 a.m. Friday, July 25, officers responded to multiple calls about two men fighting at the intersection of Brook Street and Farmington Avenue in Bristol. A Connecticut man who drove onto the sidewalk and crashed into and killed a grandmother has been charged nearly a year later, authorities announced. Ean King, 37, of Norwich, turned himself over to police on Monday, July 21, and was charged with reckless driving, operating under the influence of drugs or alcohol, manslaughter, assault, and multiple traffic infractions, Connecticut State Police said.
