A man convicted of brutally murdering his wife at their Connecticut home five years ago will spend decades behind bars, authorities said.
Robert Faison, 49, was found guilty on June 26 of murdering Lindsey Hopkins, 42, at their Guilford home, the Office of the State's Attorney said Wednesday, Sept. 9. The panel sentenced him to 55 years in prison.
Prosecutors said Faison killed Hopkins around July 22, 2021.

An alleged Connecticut bank robber didn't make it far with his stolen loot as police caught him less than a minute after the heist was reported, authorities said.
Maurice “Archie” Wing Jr., 63, of Willimantic, was arrested Wednesday, Sept. 9, after a robbery was reported around 10 a.m. at Charter Oak Federal Credit Union in the 800 block of Main Street in Willimantic, police said.
Officers found Wing nearby after he matched the suspect’s description, Willimantic police said.

Taylor Biron, 28, and Nathael Cortes, 26, pleaded not guilty Wednesday, Sept. 9, in Manchester Superior Court. Each faces a charge of risk of injury to a child, according to NBC Connecticut.
