IDs Released For 5 Family Members Killed In Murder-Suicide In Quiet Suburban NY Neighborhood The identities have been released for five family members who were killed in a murder-suicide in a residential Long Island community. The incident happened just before noon on Sunday, Aug. 25 at a residence on a cul-de-sac in Syosset. Nassau County Police say officers who responded to the residence on 76 Wyoming Court for a report of shots fired discovered a man outside the home who "sustained an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound." Fairfield County Man Who Claimed He Accidentally Shot Wife Charged With Murder A Fairfield County man who said he accidentally shot his wife to death in their basement has been charged with her murder.  Albert Kokoth, age 77, of New Canaan, was arrested on Tuesday, July 13, for the Thursday, May 6, shooting death of his wife Margaret Kokoth.
