New Update: Missing Stamford Man ID'd As Body Found In Westport Pond
Police in Westport have released the identity of a body found floating in a retention pond.
According to Westport Police Lt. Eric Woods, the body found early Monday, April 3, has been identified as that of Errol Whyte, age 62, of Stamford.
Whyte has been missing since Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022, and was the subject of a missing person investigation by the Stamford Police Department, he said.
On Friday, Dec. 30, Whyte's 2002 Ford Explorer was found unoccupied on I-95 southbound between Exits 18 and 17 near the Saugatuck Bridge, Stamford Police said at the time.

Missing Gabby Petito Boyfriend May Have Been Seen On Deer Cam
Authorities in Florida have searched an area after a deer camera captured a hiker resembling Brian Laundrie walking through a wilderness area.
Laundrie, age 23, is the missing boyfriend of Long Island native Gabby Petito, age 22, whose body was found on Sunday, Sept. 19 in Wyoming.

Boyfriend Of Missing New York Woman Has Disappeared, Police Say
The parents of a man who has been declared a “person of interest” in the disappearance of a New York woman missing for weeks told police they hadn’t seen him in days, a police spokesman said.
Long Island native Brian Laundrie, age 23, now of North Port, Florida, the boyfriend of Gabby Petito of Blue Point, in Suffolk County has not been seen since Tuesday, Sept. 14, said police.
According to the North Port Police, detectives went to the home of Laundrie on Friday, Sept. 17, after his parents summoned them to their home.

'Vast Areas Of Ice' - Flight Crews Resume Search For Lost 11-Year-Old On CT River
The search continued by air, land, and water for missing 11-year-old boy Aiden Blanchard today, Thursday, Feb. 11, the sixth day of his disappearance.
Chicopee Police, Massachusetts State Police, and the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing searched the Connecticut River and its banks from the Massachusetts Turnpike down to the Connecticut state line, seeking any evidence related to Aiden's disappearance, police said in an update.
"The flight crew did not locate any evidence related to Aiden’s disappearance. The crew observed vast areas of ice covering parts of the river," police said.
