Man Pleads Guilty To Hate Crime, Admits To Threatening CT Restaurant A 37-year-old man has admitted he committed a hate crime, making threatening telephone calls to a Connecticut restaurant, along with businesses in other states. Joey David George, a resident of Lynnwood, Washington, pleaded guilty on Monday, Nov. 7, to making interstate threats and a hate crime: interference with a Federally Protected Activity, United States Attorney Nick Brown announced. He has been in federal custody since he was arrested on July 22, Brown said. 32-Year-Old CT Woman Killed After Car Crashes Off Roadway, Into Sound Barrier A 32-year-old woman died after her car crashed into a wooden sound barrier on a Connecticut highway. The crash happened in the Hartford County town of Rocky Hill on I-91 northbound near Exit 24 at about 3:50 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 18, Connecticut State Police said. A 2004 Dodge Stratus SXT swerved across the right center and right lane, traveling onto the right shoulder, police said. The Dodge then entered the grassy area and crashed through the wooden sound barrier, authorities said. One Killed In Two-Vehicle CT Crash A 23-year-old man was killed during a two-vehicle crash that closed a busy roadway in the region for hours.
