A 17-year-old Connecticut boy stole a Crown Victoria car in Fairfield County and used it as part of a street takeover event, authorities said. The teen, who was not ID'd because of his age, is charged with theft of a motor vehicle and criminal mischief in the first degree, Norwalk police said. Fewer than eight hours after the Connecticut firefighting community buried Robert Sharkevich Sr., another senior firefighter was killed in Fairfield County, officials said. Peter Blomberg, age 72, was crossing Route 6 near Dayton Street in Newtown when a truck crashed into him around 6:15 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, authorities said.
