CT Police Lt Remembered For Dedication To Community: Army Vet Was 'Amazing Human Being' A Connecticut community is mourning the loss of a dedicated police officer who spent his life working to improve his world and the lives of the people in it.  Plainville Police Lt. John Quilter died Saturday, Jan. 18, surrounded by his family. The department did not disclose the cause of death. The 49-year-old Bristol native married his high school sweetheart, Missy, and they had three children. 'Gone Too Soon': Friends Mourn 23-Year-Old Killed In Motorcycle Crash Loved ones of a Connecticut man killed in a crash on Thursday afternoon, Oct. 24, said he was a caring, funny, and loving young man. Peter Bienasz, of Plainville in Hartford County, was riding behind a Toyota Prius on Route 72 near the I-84 on-ramp, when he crashed into the back of the car, causing him to slam into a metal guardrail around 12:14 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 24, Connecticut State Police said.
