Fire Guts Family Of 5's Home In CT; Cause Under Investigation The Red Cross is helping a Connecticut family of five who lost their home in a two-alarm blaze this weekend, authorities said.  The fire began just before 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17, on Country Hills Road in Hamden.  Related: Fire Destroys Historic Golf Course In Fairfield County Firefighters arrived to find both floors of the home engulfed in flames.
