Police Respond To Threat At Danbury Fair Mall Police responded to a threat involving a popular mall in Connecticut. It happened late Sunday afternoon, Oct. 6 in Fairfield County at the Danbury Fair Mall. Danbury Police say officers responded to a report of a possible incident at the mall at around 4:30 p.m.  The officers quickly determined that the threat was not credible and there was no danger to the public, according to police.  "This incident remains under investigation as a swatting call," according to Danbury Police. The mall reopened for business as usual.

Search Resumes For 2 Swimmers Missing In Candlewood Lake An extensive search and rescue mission will resume early on Tuesday, July 16, for two men who jumped from a boat in a Fairfield County lake and never resurfaced. The incident occurred in Danbury at around 10:30 p.m. on Monday, July 16, at Candlewood Lake in the area of City Island. According to Erin Henry, spokesperson for the Danbury Fire Department, it was reported that two men had jumped off a boat into the lake and disappeared. The incident occurred in Danbury around 4:45 p.m., Monday, July 8, at Rogers Park on Memorial Drive.  According to Danbury Police, officers responded to the park on a report of shots being fired. 30-Year-Old Dies In Danbury Crash With Garbage Truck A Connecticut man was killed following a crash with a garbage truck in Fairfield County. New Haven County resident Carlos Davila, age 30, of Ansonia, was killed around 6 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, in the area of 14 Mill Plain Road in Danbury. According to Erin Henry of the Danbury Police, Davila was driving a motorcycle when the crash occurred with a garbage truck. He was transported to Danbury Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Henry said.
