Man Guilty Of Kidnapping, Throwing 7-Year-Old Off I-290 Bridge: DA
A Worcester County jury has found Joshua Hubert guilty of kidnapping a 7-year-old girl, strangling her, and throwing her off an I-290 bridge into Lake Quinsigamond, authorities said.
Hubert, 43, of Worcester, was convicted of two counts of attempted murder, one count of strangulation, and one count of kidnapping a child on Thursday, Sept. 18. He was acquitted of two counts of aggravated rape in the 2017 attack, the Worcester County District Attorney said.
He faces up to 35 years in prison when Judge Karin Bell sentences him on Oct. 3, authorities said.

Amber Geier, 46, of Rotterdam, died from acute septic shock stemming from a bowel perforation, the Schenectady County District Attorney’s Office confirmed Thursday, Aug. 14.
Geier was charged last year in connection with the death of her 24-year-old daughter, Skylar Pettit, who had Down syndrome and diabetes and relied on her for care, as Daily Voice reported.
