A Connecticut man armed with multiple weapons threw a Molotov cocktail at police during a tense standoff that lasted nearly four hours, authorities said.
David Erik Wenger, 20, barricaded himself inside his home on Dock Road in Norwalk just before 9 a.m. on Monday, April 20, armed with multiple weapons, including a Molotov cocktail, knives, and an airsoft gun, Norwalk police said.
His mother called the police and said her son was threatening to harm himself. She also warned he had previously talked about attempting “suicide by cop” and was highly agitated, police said.

A Shelton man is accused of accelerating toward a pedestrian and striking them after a minor fender-bender before fleeing the scene without notifying police, authorities said.
Keith Chapman, 67, of Shelton, is charged with interfering with an officer, first-degree reckless endangerment, first-degree breach of peace, reckless driving, and evading responsibility with physical injury, Connecticut State Police said.
