The man who was killed following a fire last week was a caring father and grandfather who is being remembered for his sense of humor and deep love for his family, loved ones said. Mike Washom was killed following a Tuesday, Jan. 27, fast-moving fire that destroyed a 2,700-square-foot family home on Bonair Hill Road in Tolland around 11:30 p.m. Responders found him outside suffering a medical emergency and rushed him to an area hospital, where he died.
