CT Man Clings To Life After Crashing ATF On New Year's Day A 21-year-old man was fighting for his life following a serious crash in Waterbury on New Year's Day.  The Prospect man was riding an off-road UTV along Bank Street just before 6:30 a.m. when he crashed into a sign, police said.  He suffered catastrophic injuries to his head and body, and paramedics rushed him to an area hospital in critical condition. Police did not provide an update on his condition Friday.  Police are investigating the crash.  Authorities urge anyone with information on the crash to call the department's crash reconstruction unit at 203-346-3975.
