An 8-year-old and an adult were killed in a fire early Monday morning, Nov. 3, in North Haven. First responders were called to the house fire in the 20 block of George Street around 12:30 a.m. and found an adult dead inside and an 8-year-old suffering severe injuries, North Haven police said. A 1-year-old boy pulled from a burning home in upstate New York has died from his injuries. The Broome County fire broke out around 12:50 p.m. Monday, Aug. 25, at a residence on Broad Street in Chenango, according to New York State Police. Police ID 74-Year-Old Man Found Dead In CT House Fire
Authorities have identified the man found dead inside a burning Southington home early Monday as 74-year-old Stephen Chapin. Chapin was discovered in a bedroom at 2 Chaffee Lane around 2:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, according to Southington authorities. No one else was inside the residence. Firefighters received multiple 911 calls about the blaze and arrived to find heavy flames shooting from the front of the house. The cause of the fire remains under investigation, but authorities said Wednesday they have ruled out arson.
