Hartford Police Not At Fault In Inmate's Death, Report Says: 'This Is A Sad Case' A Hartford woman who told officers she had recently used fentanyl was found dead inside a city jail cell, a state investigation determined. Linda Praylow, 49, was discovered unresponsive in her holding cell at the Hartford Police Department early in the morning of April 5, 2024. She had no pulse and was later pronounced dead at Saint Francis Hospital, according to the Office of Inspector General Report.  An investigation by the Office of the Inspector General concluded that Praylow died from acute fentanyl intoxication, made worse by underlying cardiovascular disease. CT Man Convicted of Sexually Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend's 9-Year-Old Daughter: State A Connecticut man was found guilty of sexually assaulting a 9-year-old girl, prosecutors announced on Wednesday, Feb. 19.  Noel Martinez, 35, was convicted on two counts of first-degree sexual assault, illegal sexual contact with a victim under 16, and risk of injury to a minor, according to Hartford Judicial District State’s Attorney Sharmese L. The incident occurred in Hartford around 11 p.m., Monday, June 3, in the area of 36 New Britain Ave. According to Lt. Aaron Boisvert of the Hartford Police, officers responded to the area after the department received numerous 911 calls reporting a toddler struck by a vehicle.
