A few pieces of mail and some family photos helped Connecticut State Police and other agencies link a man to a drug bust last summer, authorities said Tuesday, Jan. 13.
Thomas Burns, 53, of Norwalk, faces multiple felony charges after a large-scale police raid at an Arctic Street building in Bridgeport, state police said.
Police executed the raid around 3 a.m. June 7, targeting multiple apartments inside the building. Investigators removed residents from their units and conducted a thorough search, police said.

A 33-year-old convicted felon was arrested after fleeing from police and tossing a loaded handgun in Fairfield County, authorities said.
The Bridgeport Regional Task Force had been investigating Kevin Reese, of Bridgeport, for drug and firearm violations throughout January 2025, police said on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
On Jan. 29, Fairfield Police attempted to pull over a gray Dodge Charger, but the driver, later identified as Reese, fled from officers, police said.

Two men including an ex-convict were arrested following a major drug investigation that turned up heroin, crack coaine, a significant amount of cash, weapons, and more in Connecticut, police said.
Specialized Waterbury officers were patrolling Oak and Howard streets around noon on Feb. 4, when they spotted Riyadh Easley, 33, of Waterbury operating a 2008 Honda Ridgeline, Lt. Ryan Bessette said.
At the time, Easley had an active arrest warrant.

A Connecticut man is facing nearly 20 charges after police uncovered a stockpile of firearms and ammunition following his 911 call to report a suspected home invasion, police said.
Joseph Zotter, 60, of Wallingford, was arrested after officers responded to a report of a potential break-in at his George Washington Trail home just before noon on Thursday, Jan. 2, police said.
