A Connecticut man is accused of intentionally setting fire to a Suffield home in an alleged attempt to kill his mother, according to an arrest warrant affidavit filed by state police.
Walter J. Lawson, 42, of Putnam, was arrested in connection with a May 13, 2024, fire at a residence on East Street in Suffield, State Police said. Investigators said they were called to the scene at approximately 9:11 p.m. after the homeowner reported smoke and flames inside the house.
