CT Home Invasion: 3 Men Held On $3M Bond After Armed Break-In Forced School Closures
Police in Connecticut are holding three men on $3 million bonds apiece after authorities said they smashed their way into a Fairfield home in the middle of the night during an armed robbery.
Kaleem Uthmaan, 25, of Hamden; Naszar Hobby, 20, of New Haven; and Juan Felix, 25, of Monroe, are accused of breaking into a home on Candlewood Road in Fairfield around 2:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 19, police said. A fourth man is also being held as a person of interest, but his name has not been released.

Three men were arrested during an undercover operation aimed at identifying and apprehending individuals attempting to sexually exploit minors online in Connecticut, police said.
The arrests were made Friday, Dec. 19, following several hours of coordinated operations involving North Haven detectives and the FBI’s New Haven and Albany Field Offices, police said. The operation, known as Operation Silent Night, led to the arrests of Kenneth Richardson, 30, of Bridgeport; Christian Manuel Espinosa, 33, of New Haven; and Shawn Stearns, 44, of East Haven, police said.

Legislator Stalked Outside His Long Island Home: Police
A Suffolk County legislator and retired detective was stalked outside his Northport home by a man who repeatedly showed up in a pickup truck to intimidate his family, authorities said.
Joshua Smith, 47, of Kings Park, was arrested on Indian Head Road at approximately 5:45 p.m. on Monday, June 23, 2025, according to Suffolk County Police.

DoorDash Driver Shooting: NY Highway Super Gets Attempted Murder Charge (Update)
A grand jury has indicted an Orange County town's Highway Superintendent, John J. Reilly III, on 13 felony counts, including attempted murder, stemming from the Friday, May 2 shooting of a DoorDash driver outside his home, prosecutors announced.
Reilly, 48, is now facing a slew of serious charges, including two counts of first-degree assault, attempted second-degree murder, and multiple weapons charges, the Orange County District Attorney's Office announced on Monday, May 19.
