A Connecticut community is mourning the death of a 13-year-old girl. The teen died Wednesday, Sept. 17, around 7:30 a.m. on Killam’s Point Road in Branford. Police said her death was not linked to criminal activity. "We are heartbroken by the loss of such a young life, and our thoughts are with the family, friends, and all who are affected. Two people were pulled from the water in Connecticut after a plane went down off the coast near the Thimble Islands on Sunday morning, according to the US Coast Guard. Their aircraft went down in the water southeast of the Thimble Islands, near Branford, the US Coast Guard said in a statement on June 1.
