A Florida principal has been placed on leave after a Fetty Wap lyric reportedly appeared beneath her name in a school yearbook without her knowledge. A Hartford police shooting that left a 55-year-old man dead has been ruled a homicide, according to state investigators. The Connecticut Office of Inspector General released a preliminary report on Friday, March 6, about the death of Steven Jones, who died days after being shot by police. The homicide ruling was expected. Jones died on March 3 from complications tied to gunshot wounds to his torso, the report said. A North Andover police officer is recovering in the hospital after she was shot by a fellow officer during a call to her home involving a restraining order. A Connecticut police officer was arrested again in connection with a domestic violence incident that allegedly took place last year. CT Prison Guard Charged With Assaulting Elderly Inmate
A Connecticut prison guard turned himself over to police earlier this week after authorities accused him of assaulting an elderly inmate earlier this year, police said. Todd Blevons, 42, of Uncasville, was charged with assault in the third degree on an elderly person, Connecticut State Police said on Thursday, Nov. 21. A public health coordinator for a town in Middlesex County turned himself over to police on charges of sexual assault, authorities announced on Monday, Nov. 4. Salvatore Nesci, 55, is charged with sexual assault in the fourth degree and disorderly conduct, Cromwell Police said. He was arrested on Halloween after he turned himself over to police. A Connecticut police officer was charged with breach of peace after he allegedly slapped a prisoner who was handcuffed to a hospital bed.
