Passenger, 22, Killed In Route 80 Crash:

A 22-year-old Union City man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Route 80 early Saturday, Jan. 18, authorities said. A Honda driven by a 22-year-old Belleville man was heading west when it veered off the road and struck a tree in Knowlton near milepost 6.2 around 3:05 a.m., according to New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan. The driver sustained minor injuries in the crash, while one passenger, a 19-year-old Passaic man, suffered moderate injuries. Authorities have released details in the Friday, Jan. 17 crash along Route 9 that left one person dead in Putnam County. Norton Segarra, 74, of Beacon, NY was heading south when he veered into the northbound lanes and was struck by a tractor-trailer driven by a 60-year-old Milford, CT man around 1:30 p.m. near Route 403 in Garrison, County Sheriff Kevin J. Six people were injured including two seriously when a dump trailer struck a tractor trailer before barreling into the North Bergen Target store Friday, Jan. 17 ( scroll for video). A water main eruption Thursday, Jan 16 in Wayne caused the roadway to buckle and left a tractor-trailer and car stranded in large craters, police said. Missing Dad, 39, Found Dead After 9 Day Search: Fairfax County PD
The search for a missing man in Fairfax County has ended in tragedy, authorities announced. Tamrat Gebremichel was reported missing after having last been seen on Jan. 5 in Springfield, Fairfax County police said. On Jan. 14, police announced that 39-year-old Gebremichel was found dead.
