One Dead, 1 Hospitalized Following Head-On Crash In Loch Sheldrake
One man is dead, and another is hospitalized following a head-on crash in Sullivan County.
The incident occurred around 5 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 23, at the intersection of Cignarale Road in Loch Sheldrake.
According to Sullivan County Undersheriff Eric Chaboty, the crash involved a 2012 Toyota Sienna minivan driven by John Bullock, age 60, of Loch Sheldrake, and a 2015 Buick Encore operated by Benjamin DeVault, age 19, of Hurleyville.

Fake 911 Calls Lead To Arrest Of Hillside Fire Department Employee: Police
A 23-year-old member of the Hillside Fire Department in Dutchess County is facing felony charges after allegedly making multiple false fire and emergency reports to Dutchess County 911, New York State Police report.
Cyril Uebbing, age 23, of Rhinebeck, was charged on Monday, Dec. 30, after an investigation revealed he allegedly made the fake call, state police said.
State police said Uebbing, a new member of the department, is accused of falsely reporting incidents between Monday, Dec. 23, and Thursday, Dec. 26.

Airmont Man Arrested In Connection With Vehicle Larcenies: Police
A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a series of vehicle larcenies in the Village of Airmont, but police are still searching for additional suspects, authorities report.
The Ramapo Police Department arrested Keith Casas, age 29, of Airmont, in connection with multiple reports of larcenies from vehicles that occurred over two weekends in early December, said Det. Lt. Chris Franklin of the Ramapo Police.
