Woman, 59, Hit, Killed Walking Near CT Cemetery Police in Fairfield County are investigating after a 59-year-old woman was struck and killed while walking near a cemetery.  The incident occurred in Norwalk around 9:20 a.m., Friday, June 21, at 81 Riverside Ave. (Riverside Cemetery). According to Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police, officers responded to the area following a 911 call of an accident with injuries in which a pedestrian was struck. Toxic Fumes Injure 4 During Haz-Mat Incident At CT Business Four employees of a Norwalk building warehouse suffered possible inhalation injuries following an explosion. The incident took place in Norwalk around 2:50 p.m., Thursday, April 13 at a warehouse building located at 16 Muller Ave. The initial call was for an explosion with a chemical release, said Timothy Reardon, deputy chief of the Norwalk Fire Department. Upon arrival, firefighters determined all workers had self-evacuated the building. Explosive and toxic vapors were found within the building in a confined area, Reardon said.
