Tristate Twister: Tornado With 100 MPH Winds Travels Through CT, 2 Other States A survey conducted by the National Weather Service has confirmed that a tornado caused damage across three states during a severe thunderstorm including in Connecticut. The tornado touched down Wednesday, Sept. 13 in Windham County in Killingly. It then traveled over the towns of Foster, Glocester, and Lincoln in Providence County, Rhode Island, and then finally, into North Attleboro, Massachusetts, in Bristol County. 17-Year-Old Dies After Crashing Pickup Truck In Connecticut An investigation is underway after a 17-year-old died in a single-vehicle crash in Connecticut.  A 2003 Dodge Dakota SXT was traveling west in Windham County near 407 Hartford Turnpike in Hampton at about 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, when it left the westbound lane and traveled into the eastbound lane, according to Connecticut State Police. Suspect In Connecticut Homicide Case Arrested At Hotel In New Hampshire, Police Say A suspect in a Connecticut homicide case was arrested at a hotel in New Hampshire. Matthew Candler, age 46, was located and brought into custody at the Seabrook Inn, in Seabrook, New Hampshire, according to an update from Connecticut State Police on Tuesday, May 3. Candler was identified by police as the suspect in the death of 51-year-old Jeffrey Rawson in Windham County. Rawson, of Chaplin, was found dead at a location on Miller Road in Chaplin at about 6:10 a.m. on Sunday, May 1, police previously reported.
