5 Fairfield County Businesses Busted Selling Vape Products To Minors, Police Say Five Fairfield County businesses have been busted for allegedly selling vaping products and tobacco to minors during a sting operation. The operation took place in Stamford on Thursday, Oct. 20. According to Stamford Police Assistant Chief Richard Conklin, the department NARC and Organized Crime Unit teamed up with the state Department of Mental Health and Addiction after receiving numerous complaints from parents and residents of underage sales. Numerous businesses in Norwalk were checked over the holiday weekend after the Norwalk Police Department received multiple complaints regarding the practice, said Sgt. Sofia Gulino.
