A Connecticut State Police trooper was struck by a wrong-way driver in a head-on crash overnight. It happened in Middlesex County just after 4 a.m. Saturday, April 16 on southbound Route 9 in the area of Exit 19 in Cromwell. The assigned state police cruiser crashed with the wrong-way vehicle, a 2016 Honda Accord, as it was traveling northbound in the left lane of the southbound side. Connecticut State Police are asking the public for help identifying a man wanted for allegedly breaking into a Fast Track Station and stealing numerous items. The incident took place around 6 a.m., Wednesday, June 16, when troopers assigned to Troop H-Hartford were dispatched to the New Britain Fast Track Station after receiving reports of two trucks and a storage unit that were broken into. Connecticut State Police arrested 20 nursing home and long-term care workers after they entered a state office building and refused to leave during a protest calling for better wages and health care. A 51-year-old Connecticut man is being held on $750,000 bail following his recent arrest on multiple drug and weapons charges. After executing a search warrant on May 4, John P.
