The incident took place in Darien around 3:30 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 25. According to Sgt. Woman Hit, Killed By Amtrak Train In Connecticut A 22-year-old Connecticut woman was hit and killed by an Amtrak train while allegedly "trespassing" on the tracks. Alexandra Trippodo, of Branford, was hit and killed around 1:10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 13 when she was hit on the tracks east of New Haven, said Beth Toll, a spokeswoman for Amtrak. Stephen Ewald of Milford was arrested and charged with trespassing Sunday by Milford Police after they received a call from the store that Ewald had returned to the store located on Boston Post Road, police said. When officers arrived at the store, they learned that Ewald had been banned from the property on Aug. 9, but had returned earlier in the day, police said.
