CT State Police Prepares For Thanksgiving Week Enforcement Although many residents are reconsidering typical Thanksgiving gatherings in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, state troopers in Connecticut still plan to heighten patrols over the holiday, targeting aggressive and drunk drivers.  State Police said they arrested 52 drivers for driving while intoxicated over Thanksgiving weekend in 2019 and ticketed 385 drivers for speeding. Norwalk Man Driving At Very Low Rate Of Speed, Without License Charged With DUI, Police Say A Fairfield County man was charged with a DUI after an officer allegedly spotted him driving under 10 miles per hour at night with his taillights out.  According to Darien Police, 43-year-old Nazario Vasquez, of Norwalk, was pulled over at approximately 12:15 a.m. as he was exiting off Interstate 95 on Sunday, Oct. 25.  Vasquez reportedly admitted to drinking alcohol earlier in the evening, and was driving without a license.  When he exited his vehicle, Vasquez was unsteady on his feet and smelled of alcohol, police said.  He was unable to perform standard field sobrie…

Norwalk Woman Stopped For Speeding Busted With Drugs In Darien, Police Say A 26-year-old woman was arrested on a warrant for a stop last year in which police allegedly found drugs in her vehicle. Nicole Greenwald, of Norwalk, was arrested on Wednesday, May 20, for an incident which took place in Fairfield County in Sept. 2019, said Darien Police Dept. Sgt. James Palmieri. Man Wanted For Hit-Run CT Crash Nabbed In NY A 32-year-old man wanted for a hit-and-run crash was arrested during a routine traffic stop. Marcellus Ferrell, 32, of Patterson, was apprehended on Saturday, Feb. 8, when stopped by Putnam County Sheriff’s Deputy Kevin Osika for a traffic violation, said the Putnam County Sheriff's Office. It happened on Friday, Dec. 27 at 6:43 p.m., when members of the Norwalk PD Strategic Narcotics Enforcement Team observed an Infinity sedan traveling on Chestnut Street.  The operator of the vehicle, later identified as Kimani Williams, 28, of Bridgeport, was driving erratically, said Lt.
