Police have identified the man who sparked a statewide Amber Alert when he stole a vehicle in Western Massachusetts, on Friday morning, March 29, that had a 3-year-old baby inside.
Vadim Vorobyov, age 52, of Springfield, is charged with kidnapping, child endangerment, and fugitive from justice in Connecticut and is also expected to be charged with kidnapping, child endangerment, and motor vehicle larceny in Massachusetts, State Police said.

State police have nabbed a juvenile who they believe was part of a "street takeover" event in Connection.
The juvenile, who is under the age of 18, was arrested on Tuesday, June 6 in connection with a Tolland County street racing incident, or "street takeover," that happened in the town of Tolland on Sunday, May 21.
On the night of the incident, a group of racers and spectators gathered to race cars, perform burnouts, set off fireworks, and more, according to officials.

Fight At CT Courthouse: 4 Nabbed After Incident That Injured Officer
Four people were arrested after allegedly getting into a fight with another person at a Connecticut courthouse.
The fight took place in New Haven in front of the Superior Courthouse around 11 a.m., Monday, March 27.
According to state police, a fight broke out between five people near the entrance to the courthouse, causing judicial marshals to try and break up the fight and separate those involved.

Large crowds of fighting teens at the Westfield Trumbull Mall caused police to call in reinforcements after the juveniles kept coming back inside after being expelled.

State Police Searching For CT Bank Robber, Asking Motorists To Avoid Area
State Police are asking the public to avoid certain roadways in the area as they search for an alleged bank robber.
The robbery took place in Litchfield County around 12:35 p.m., Monday, Aug. 2, at the Salisbury Bank located at 5 Gay St., in Sharon, state police said.
The suspect, who is believed to be a white male, wearing blue jeans and a blue sweater, fled the scene on foot.
Police are asking motorists to avoid the area between Route 41, Route 4, and Hill Top Road as troopers search for the suspect.

Good Samaritan Struck, Killed Assisting Others On I-84
State police are asking the public for help after a man, who was assisting people following a crash, was hit and killed in Connecticut.
Andy Azab, of Oakville, an enclave of Watertown in Litchfield County, was hit by a Nissan Altima while attempting to help at another crash scene on I-84 in Hartford County, in Southington.
State police said the accident happened around 6:30 p.m., on Tuesday, July 6 near the Exit 28 on-ramp, when Azab, age 62, was standing in the travel portion of the highway.
Azab was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead, state police said.
