The fire began just after 12:45 a.m. in the basement of a home on 4 Tonetta Circle. Flames quickly extended to the first floor. The homeowner escaped safely before the fire reached them, the Norwalk Fire Department said. Gas-Fed Fire Kitchen Fire Displaces Fairfield County Family Firefighters were able to quickly extinguish a kitchen fire at a two-family residence in Fairfield County. The fire started around 6 p.m., Monday, Feb. 15, at the home located at 9 Cottage Street in Danbury. Fire and police units were immediately dispatched. Danbury Police Officer Stephan Cameron was on routine patrol in the area and arrived on the scene to find heavy smoke coming from the home, said James Gagliardo, public information spokesman for the department. House Fire Breaks Out In Stratford Police in Fairfield County and EMS responding to an activated medical alarm device in the wee hours of the morning called firefighters after happening upon pluming smoke and a rapidly-spreading kitchen fire. Police woke the two families living at 20 and 22 Marsh Way in Stratford when they arrived at approximately 5 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 21. Fire Damages Bridgeport Home Fire Damages Bridgeport Home
Fire Damages Bridgeport Home A Bridgeport home was badly damaged after a fire ripped through the residence. The fire began around midnight on Tuesday, Nov. 19, at 140 Marilyn Drive, in Bridgeport, said Terron Jones, a spokesman for the fire department. Responding fire units reported a heavy fire in the ranch-style home.  The couple who lived at the home were alerted by smoke alarms and were able to safely escape, Jones said. Bridgeport firefighters had the fire under control within 45 minutes, he added. No injuries were reported and the fire is under investigation by the Fire Marshal.
