Uber Eats Driver Injured During Fairfield County Carjacking, Police Say An adult and two juveniles were arrested following a carjacking in Fairfield County that left an Uber Eats driver with a severe head injury. The incident took place around 7 p.m., Saturday, March 5 when Westport Police officers responded to the parking lot of 1759 Post Road East on a report of the possible theft of a motor vehicle.  When officers arrived on the scene, they learned a white Hyundai was stolen and that during the theft the owner of the car, a sixty-four-year-old woman, suffered a head injury, said Lt. Police: Speeding Motorist Who Nearly Hit Westport PD Car Under Influence An alleged drunk driver going nearly 20 mph over the posted speed limit in Westport nearly struck an officer on patrol during a late night ride, according to the Westport Police Department. An officer conducting speed patrol at approximately 12:30 a.m. on March 24 on the Sherwood Island Connector spotted a vehicle traveling 57 mph in a 40 mph zone, and when it passed the police car, which was parked in the shoulder, the driver traveled over the fog line, nearly striking the vehicle, police said. Shelton Man Nabbed For DWI On Sherwood Island Connector A drunken driving arrest was made early Sunday morning on the Sherwood Island Connector, Westport police said. At about 2 a.m. on Feb. 4, police officers were dispatched on a report of a vehicle operating erratically and crossing multiple lanes of travel.  The vehicle was observed traveling westbound on Greens Farms Road. It traveled through the intersection with Hillspoint Road without stopping for the stop sign.  A motor vehicle stop was conducted and the operator was identified as Luca Dore, 44, of Shelton, CT, according to police reports.
