CT Teen Undergoes Emergency Surgery In Third Shooting In 3 Days A 17-year-old Connecticut boy is recuperating after undergoing emergency surgery following a shooting on Tuesday, Sept. 3. It was the third shooting in New Haven this week, police said.  Officers received a ShotSpotter alert around 5:45 p.m. near Sherman and Edgewood Avenues, where they found the boy suffering from a bullet wound, New Haven police said.  Paramedics rushed the teen to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where doctors performed emergency surgery to save his life. CT Man Shot On Thanksgiving Dies From Injuries, Police Say A Connecticut man who was shot on Thanksgiving has died from his injuries. The shooting took place around 1:15 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 25 on Sherman Avenue, between Elm Street and Whalley Avenue in New Haven, said Officer Scott Shumway, of the New Haven Police. CT Woman Arrested After Social Media Videos Show Her Abusing Puppies, Police Say A Connecticut woman has been released on a $10,000 bond after an arrest for animal cruelty.  Anizya Elliott, of New Haven, was arrested on Sunday, March 21, following an anonymous complaint of puppies being thrown, kicked, and abused in several social media videos, said New Haven Police Captain Anthony Duff. Duff said officers responded around 8 p.m. to a Sherman Avenue home.
