Here's How Many Motorists Were Charged With DUI By CT State Police Over Memorial Day Weekend Connecticut State Police troopers were busy over Memorial Day Weekend, responding to thousands of calls and dishing out hundreds of tickets for various violations on area roadways. During the holiday enforcement period, which started at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, May 24, and lasted through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, May 27, troopers responded to 7,540 calls for service and arrested 20 motorists for alleged impaired driving. As midnight Tuesday, police had responded to more than 6,000 calls for service, including 400 accidents, two that included fatalities. Officers said they also made 47 DUI arrests. Here's How Many Crashes CT State Police Responded To Over Thanksgiving Holiday Connecticut State Police troopers dished out nearly 3,500 tickets and investigated two fatalities as they conducted special enforcement details over the Thanksgiving holiday. Beginning at midnight on Tuesday, Nov. 20 and spanning through 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 25, Connecticut State Police supplemented their normal patrol force with additional troopers who were targeting motorists on local roads and highways.
