Two Injured After Driver Fails To Yield Right Of Way In Wilton Crash
One person was seriously injured and another received minor injuries during a crash on Danbury Road (Route 7) in Wilton. The crash took place around 4:55 p.m., Monday, Nov. 30, when a 2007 Subaru Outback traveling south on Danbury Road in Wilton failed to yield the right of way at School Road and hit a 1997 Honda Civic, said the Wilton Police. The accident caused injuries to both drivers, police said. Police: Man Driving Without License Faces Multiple Charges In Wilton
Officers found marijuana, edibles and a drug-measuring scale after searching the odorous vehicle of a Hudson Valley man speeding in Fairfield County, police said. Dutchess County resident Carl Leo Hannans, 20, was allegedly driving 56 miles per hour in a 40-mph zone in Wilton at around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17 at the intersection of Danbury and School roads. He was also had a suspended driver's license, police said. A pickup truck driver is facing charges after allegedly being involved in a pair of road rage incidents after he was cut off on a busy roadway in Fairfield County, police said. Officers were alerted by a passing motorist shortly after 6 p.m. on Saturday, June 20 of a road rage incident that took place near the intersection of Danbury Road (Route 7) and School Road in Wilton. Police: Mom Under Influence Resists Arrest While Picking Up Child At School
A Hudson Valley mom was arrested after attempting to pick up her child from a Fairfield County school while drunk. Wilton Police arrested Jolene Matthews, 41, of Monroe in Orange County, after receiving a call from the Goddard School for a report of an intoxicated parent attempting to pick-up their 4-year-old child, said Lt. Car Break-In Spree Under Investigation In North Wilton
Wilton police are asking for help in identifying two people caught on video attempting to burglarize cars in several different areas of town.The car burglaries took place Thursday night and early Friday on Ambler Lane, Briardale Place, Crosswicks Ridge, Hurlbutt Street, McFadden Drive, Old Danbury Road, Pimpewaug Road, School Road, Winton Terrace and Skunk Lane, police said.
