Man Accused Of Fleeing Scene Of Crash In Fairfield County, Police Say
A Fairfield County man has been arrested following a crash in which he struck two mailboxes and two utility police before fleeing. The crash took place around 6:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 1, in the area of the 200 block of Smith Ridge Road (Route 123) in New Canaan. According to New Canaan PD Lieutenant Jason Ferraro, when officers arrived on the scene they found that a vehicle has gone off the road and struck two mailboxes and two utility poles, damaging all. Know Them Or This Car? Suspects At Large After Separate Thefts At New Canaan Ralph Lauren Store
An investigation into the theft of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise at a Ralph Lauren store in Fairfield County has been launched by the New Canaan Police Department. Three larcenies have recently taken place at the Ralph Lauren location on Elm Street in New Canaan within the past week, Police Lt. Jason Ferraro said. In total, suspects made off with approximately $8,300 worth of merchandise. Separate Incidents Cause Morning Gridlock On Several Area Roadways
This story has been updated. It was a slow go for commuters in parts of the area during the Thursday morning commute as a result of four separate incidents.
