Officer-Involved Shooting Under Investigation In Fairfield County An investigation is underway after an officer-involved shooting in Fairfield County. The incident happened around 7:35 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5 during an attempt to serve a felony warrant for domestic charges in Stratford at the intersection of Route 110 and Main Street Putney. The suspect was observed entering a vehicle at which time Stratford Police officers attempted a traffic stop where force was used, Stratford PD Captain Frank Eannotti said. Man Faces DUI, Other Charges After Low-Speed Chase In Fairfield County An intoxicated 56-year-old man led police on an inching chase, frequently stopping in the middle of the travel lane and motioning for pursuing officers, their lights flashing, to pass him, police said. Crash Sends Vehicles Crashing Into Bushes, Ditch In Monroe A crash sent two vehicles crashing into the bushes and a ditch in Monroe, but luckily there were no serious injuries. The incident took place Tuesday, Aug. 13 in the evening at the intersection of Route 110 and Wheeler Road, said the Monroe Volunteer Fire Department. Both vehicles in the bushes.Monroe Volunteer Fire Department Firefighters, police, and paramedics all responded to the crash site. There were no serious injuries, the department said.
