Woman Surrenders On Charges Of Strangulation, Assault In Wilton
A wanted Fairfield County woman is in police custody after turning herself in for allegedly strangling and assaulting someone in Wilton. Bridgeport resident Rachel Ragone, 25, surrendered herself into police custody on Thursday, Nov. 29, after a warrant was issued for her arrest on an assault charge from the Norwalk Superior Court. According to police, Ragone allegedly strangled and assaulted her victim on Halloween night in Wilton. She was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and strangulation. Woman With Active Warrant Taken Into Custody In Wilton
A 25-year-old woman was arrested by Wilton Police on an active warrant while being interviewed in connection with another case. Rachel Ragone, of Kings Park, was arrested Tuesday, Nov. 6, after police learned she was wanted an active warrant for failure to appear for automobile charges in 2016 in Fairfield, said Wilton Police Lt. Robert Kluk. She was processed and released on $1,000 bond. Ragone is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 16.
