Supermarket Shoplifted 3 Times In 3 Days In Hudson Valley, Police Nab Danbury Man
Three different people who stole from a supermarket in the Hudson Valley in three days now face larceny charges, police said. The thefts happened at the Tops Supermarket in Putnam County located in Carmel at 1936 US Route 6, according to Carmel Police. The first two shoplifting incidents happened on Friday, March 3, when police responded to the store at two separate times at the request of loss prevention officials. A Westchester man has been accused of allegedly stealing more than $78,000 in checks from the mail he was responsible for delivering while working as a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. Mount Vernon resident Alberto Pino, age 31, was indicted by a Westchester County Grand Jury for second-degree grand larceny, a felony, and two counts of petit larceny, a misdemeanor. A 27-year-old woman is facing a host of charges after being arraigned on a 22-count indictment by a grand jury following a rash of home burglaries of families who were attending funeral services. Trio Behind Bars After Being Accused Of Using Bogus Bills In North Salem
Three men are behind bars after being charged with using counterfeit currency at a gas station in Northern Westchester. An investigation by state police found the three used fake $100 and $50 dollar bills to purchase small items at Coco Farms Shell Gas Station on Route 22 in North Salem, according to state police. A 32-year-old man has been accused of stealing items from a former employee’s building in Putnam, police say. New York State Police say that Karl Knoche of Ridgefield illegally forced his way into a former employer’s business building in Southeast and stole 10 valve regulated lead acid batteries. A Fairfield County man is facing charges after returning to the scene of the crime where he shoplifted items in Northern Westchester the day before, Westchester County Police said. A Greenwich man was nabbed by Greenwich Police at the Westchester County Jail on an outstanding warrant for ripping off a wallet out of a car. New York State Police investigators in the Hudson Valley are seeking the public’s assistance as they search for a woman wanted since 2014 for illegally forging checks in her family’s names.
