2 Pedestrians Hit, 1 Killed in CT, Driver Remains At Scene Two pedestrians were hit, and one was killed by a vehicle at a busy Connecticut intersection.  The crash occurred in Hartford County in Bristol around 4:15 a.m., Monday, June 24, in the area of Pine Street (Route 72) and Emmett Street. According to Lt. Patrick Krajewski of the Bristol Police, officers from the patrol division administered life-saving measures until EMS arrived on the scene to take over care. Both pedestrians were transported to area hospitals, where one pedestrian died, Krajewski said.  The victims are not being identified at this time, …

Person Struck By Tractor-Trailer On I-84 In Fairfield County A pedestrian was hit by a tractor-trailer and seriously injured on I-84 in Fairfield County. Connecticut State Police said the incident took place around 3:30 a.m., Monday, Oct. 25 near Exit 11 in Newtown. Responding troopers said the person was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The roadway was closed for several hours, backing up traffic for at least eight miles, before reopening later on Monday morning. The extent of injuries was not immediately provided. Westport Police Seeking Public's Help Locating Hit-Run Driver The Westport Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a vehicle and person involved in a hit-and-run crash. The crash took place around 3:26 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 8, in the area of 30 Beachside Ave., said Westport Police Lt. Anthony Prezioso. During the accident, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that ultimately fled the scene. The pedestrian sustained a significant but non-life-threatening leg injury as a result of the crash, Prezioso said.
