Vintage Plane Involved In Air Show Mid-Air Collision Crash Lands In Trees In Upstate NY Officials are investigating following a mid-air collision during an air show in the Hudson Valley. The incident occurred in Dutchess County around 3:30 p.m., Sunday, July 28, in the area of the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome in Rhinebeck. Area Man Killed When Car Leaves Road, Hits Tree Officials have released the identification of the man who died in a fatal crash in the area on Tuesday. Adrian Mayo, 35, of Waterbury, was killed after he lost control of his car around 9 a.m. on Shunpike Road near Kennels Road in town of Washington, said Capt. John Watterson with the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office. After losing control, the vehicle crossed over the center pavement markings and struck a tree on the northern shoulder.
