Residents in one Fairfield County town have been receiving threatening text messages demanding money. On Thursday, Nov. 11, New Canaan residents reported receiving unsolicited text messages from 203-571-3124, said New Canaan Chief of Police Leon Krolikowski. The scammer demanded payment or the residents’ family members would be harmed. "These messages are scams and are a part of a national trend," Krolikowski said. A 50-year-old Fairfield County man is facing charges after police said he drove recklessly and hit a parked vehicle. Police in a Fairfield County town are warning residents to make sure their homes are secure after four residential burglaries in four weeks. A 17-year-old girl was charged after police broke up a party involving underage drinking in Fairfield County. Police Looking To Locate Owner Of Dog That Bit Person On Fairfield County Roadway
Police are searching for the owner of a dog that bit a person who was attempting to remove the dog from the roadway in Fairfield County. The incident took place in New Canaan in the area of Ponus Ridge Road and Bennington Place. A small white dog with a black electric fence collar bit the person at about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 3, and then ran off, according to New Canaan Police Department. Two brothers were arrested after police said they worked together to steal items from an unlocked vehicle and steal a Range Rover in Fairfield County. A 24-year-old Fairfield County man was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography. Quinten Yonkers, of New Canaan, was arrested at his home on Wednesday, Aug. 18, according to authorities.
