Fairfield Man Charged With Attempted Murder In Stabbing Incident A 51-year-old Fairfield County man was charged with criminal attempt to commit murder after allegedly stabbing his partner multiple times. The incident occurred in Fairfield around 11:10 a.m. on Mountain Laurel Road on Sunday, April 14. According to Sgt. Michael Stahl of the Fairfield Police, the victim, is in serious condition following the stabbing during a domestic dispute. Arrested was Robert Van Weddle of Fairfield. He was charged with: Criminal attempt to commit murder  Assault Disorderly conduct Weddle was held on bond and transported to Bridgeport Superior Court this morning…

Two Students Injured During Fairfield County School Bus Crash, Police Say Two schoolchildren were hospitalized following a school bus crash which also injured the driver in Fairfield County. It happened just after 3 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 9 in the Town of Fairfield on Mountain Laurel road near Stroll Rock Common,  First responders reported the school bus struck a tree and the bus was transporting four Fairfield School children at the time of the collision, said Fairfield PD Lt.
