A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is now in effect for much of the region as a new round of storms is expected to roll through with damaging winds and isolated tornadoes possible.
The warning went into effect Thursday, July 21 at 1:30 p.m. and lasts until 2 p.m.
At 1:28 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located over Mount Kisco, moving northeast at 45 miles per hour, the National Weather Service said.

Native NewYorker Gavin MacLeod, a popular actor on two of the biggest television hit shows of the 1970s and '80s, has died.
MacLeod, who was born in Northern Westchester County, in Mount Kisco, as Allan George See and raised in Pleasantville, was age 90.
He died at his home in Palm Desert, California, after having recent health issues, his family said.

A local man was arrested on burglary and other charges after he allegedly broke into an occupied Northern Westchester home.
Westchester County Police received a call shortly before 11:30 a.m., Sunday, March 1, reporting a burglary was in progress at 68 Maple Avenue, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the department.
Another person said the resident had just confronted an intruder in his apartment.

Ameet Goyal, 56, of Rye, who operates The Eye Associates Group, with practices in Rye, Mount Kisco, Wappingers Falls and in Greenwich, was arrested and charged by federal officials for allegedly fraudulently billing patients.

A Mount Kisco resident and shop owner, six-year Bedford school board member Suzanne Grant, died Sunday, Sept. 1, at age 56.
She was born on Oct. 8, 1962, in Rochester to Ronald (deceased) and Dolores Sibs.
