Gourmet grocery fans will be ecstatic to learn that DeCicco & Sons is making its Connecticut debut with a new store in Fairfield County. It will occupy a 20,000-square-foot space at 11 Glen Ridge Road in Greenwich. The store is slated to welcome shoppers in the Summer of 2025, pending town approval. A popular food market with eight stores in the area is now accepting reservations for shoppers amid the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis. DeCicco & Sons is teaming with OpenTable, which typically serves as an online reservation service, to allow area residents the opportunity to make reservations for shopping. Plastic bags will soon be a relic of the past at a prominent group of food stores. DeCicco & Sons Markets announced that it will be fully eliminating the single-use plastic bags in all seven of their stores within the next seven days. Twister With 110 MPH Winds Confirmed In Northern Westchester
A second tornado has been confirmed to have touched down in the Hudson Valley during Tuesday's severe storms that swept through the area in the late afternoon and evening. The National Weather Service said Wednesday afternoon that an EF1 twister touched down in Northern Westchester at 4:47 p.m. Tuesday in New Castle and lasted approximately 11 minutes, covering 3.75 miles.
